Squirtle might actually be good to work on, since it seems that with simpler shapes you have to have a better spatial memory to get them accurate and can't rely on details like mustaches. I can never ever get his plastron right.

It could be his resemblance to Teddy Roosevelt, one of my favorite presidents and olde tyme figures, but during the couple of years following 9/11, he was in the news a lot. I remember being amused by the obvious Banana Republic dictatorness shining through all the positive press coverage of him. Which is not to say he's not a bad man.

Oh, yeah! Bully! I tend to think of TR as having had a monocle, but it was probably glasses.

I picked Musharraf because he was on Wikipedia's front page in the In the News section. If I hadn't used that to decide, it could have been Squirtle or something.

That's pretty good! It'd also pass for Teddy Roosevelt. Also, your subject choice is pretty smart. I mostly draw reality TV contestants and Magikarps.
